Hello Church Family,
Considering the rise of COVID-19 cases in the metro and in support of our government’s efforts to contain its spread (particularly the prohibition on mass gatherings), we are making some changes to the way we do things for the time being, until further notice:
1. SUNDAY GATHERINGS. All Sunday gatherings (Alabang, BGC, Nuvali, and Cavite) will be suspended. Instead, we will be moving our Sunday services online. Sermons will be broadcast through this website and through our official Facebook page.
In addition, we will be releasing supplemental online content via social media and via Without Walls' official Viber Community to support our church family (adults and kids) as we continue to grow as disciples of Jesus in the midst of this situation.
2. LIFEGROUPS. We encourage lifegroups of six or less members who are literally neighbors to continue to meet, study God's Word, break bread, and pray together at their own discretion, provided that precautionary measures are taken. Larger lifegroups, on the other hand, need to consider shifting to online settings for the time being, and explore other means of encouraging one another and building one another up.
3. GIVING. If you are accustomed to giving financially at our Sunday gatherings, consider giving your tithes and offerings online or via bank deposit:
Alabang & BGC gatherings: Without Walls Ministries Inc. / EAST WEST BANK / Account No. 200-001-505-423
Nuvali gathering: Without Walls / BANK OF COMMERCE / Account No. 116-00-000701-1
4. OTHER WEEKLY ACTIVITIES. All other scheduled meetings held in the church office (Book Club, Midweek Prayer, etc.) will also be suspended.
Know that one of the best ways we can love our neighbors and serve our city right now is by taking proactive steps to reduce the risk of spreading the virus. These changes do not mean that we lack faith in the face of sickness and disease, but only that we must, as good stewards, be prudent in the face of facts. Once our regular schedules resume, we will continue to follow the recommendations of the W.H.O. and our government on how best to respond to the outbreak and to safeguard those of you who call Without Walls home.
Truly, we are now WITHOUT WALLS.
In all this, now more than ever, let us be a people that proclaim the gospel in word and deed, standing in faith and not fear, loving and serving our neighbors, especially those who are most vulnerable—the elderly and those with underlying health issues.
Continue to join us in prayer for our city and the world. Pray for renewed health for the sick, calm for the anxious, and peace for the fearful. Pray that God would bring many to a saving faith because of this situation. Pray for wisdom for our government officials. And pray for protection, strength and endurance for those in the frontlines--doctors, nurses, and healthcare workers who are working around-the-clock to minimize the impact of the virus in our community. If you or members of your family get sick, please reach out; we will do everything we can to help you. Let us know how we can be praying with you by emailing us at prayers@withoutwalls.ph
Trust that God is good. He is at work, He is in control, and He WILL be glorified in the midst of all this. In these times of uncertainty and panic, remember God’s words through the Psalmist: “Be still and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth.” (Psalm 46:10)
Godspeed!
Pastor Luigi
